The Doulophone

The doulophone was invented by a certain friend of Professor Yak, it is a magnificent family of brass instruments of incredible depth, a doulophone is normally a gigantic copper instrument with a drainpipe resonator, it is a slave to the orchestra (doulos in greek means slave) as the resonator causes it to be able to play sounds in keeping with those of instruments near to it with ease.

The doulophone pictured is the octocontralto adn is slightly deeper than the piano, there is also another doulophone, the contralto, which is an octave above this, and a third doulophone is now complete which is two octaves below the piano, has a slider as a trombone and is called 'Geraldine, the dioctocontrabass doulophone in C'.
